Rika recently bought a small drawing pad for Amelie to draw in the car with.  She loves drawing while riding in the car… personally I’d get car sick.  So anyway, I ran in one morning and got a pink and a blue Crayon for her to draw with.  Here is what she drew:

She says this is a hotel, and herself. She loves hotels, obviously. Perhaps it is because they are usually associated with vacations.

This is me, Papa. I always have “spiky” hair in her drawings… because it is short. All boys have spiky hare, pants, and a shirt. Girls always have long hair and a dress – usually a triangle. She often gets pretty creative with the stripes, buttons, etc. with the clothes. Amelie’s style is easily recognizable for us. We’re pretty proud of her artwork!

The blue area is the mountains. What are you gonna do with only pink and blue? I like that she chose the darker of the two colors for the mountains – just as mountains are generally darker than the surrounding areas.
